One mum has learnt a valuable lesson after fake tan turned her skin green

One 35-year-old Jenni Coleman from Manchester was putting on fake tan one night when she noticed something strange about the colour but continued applying it anyway.

When she woke the next morning she had realised her terrible mistake. The tan cream had turned her into 'The Wicked Witch of the West'. She stated:

When I saw myself the following morning I nearly cried, it wasn't great, I just couldn't believe it."

The incident occurred four years ago but the image recently resurfaced when Jenni's friend posted the image in jest claiming that the lockdown would be 'a good time to work on your tan'.

Jenni claimed that back in the day she used to have quite a hoard of fake tan creams: "That day I just grabbed one, maybe from the back [of my stash] and I'd had it a bit by then."

The 35-year-old admitted that she was forced to stay inside for days, trying everything under the sun to take the green out and get her skin back to normal.

"for a while after that I was a bit paranoid that it would happen again. It was a big shock, I remember thinking 'how has it even gone like that?"
