Nigerian Woman Discovers Husband's Secret Family, Cuts Off Penis in Retaliation

Unfortunately, infidelity happens all the time. And when the person who's being cheated on finds out, they can handle it in a lot of ways.

One common solution is to ask for a divorce. Some are able to forgive their partner and go to couples therapy, which has helped many couples and families cope.

Then, there are people like this 32-year-old woman from Tella, Nigeria, who went viral because of how she dealt with her husband's infidelity.

Apparently, her husband not only had another wife, but he has a whole other family that she had no idea existed at the time. So, when she found out, she was so irate, her immediate reaction was to plan out quite the scandalous crime.

Local news media say the woman, Halima Umar, decided to take justice into her own hands one night.

The victim's brother told the Nigerian Tribune that she drugged her husband, Aliyu Umar, with a sleeping pill so she could commit her crime without resistance from him. According to Aliyu's brother:

We suspect that she must have drugged Umar because ordinarily, she would not have succeeded.

She then went on to chop his manhood off with a knife, in cold blood. Shortly after, the man was taken to the hospital and, although doctors managed to save his life, he'll never have his penis again. According to the doctor:

The husband would have died had he not immediately been taken to the hospital. Still, this man will never be able to have sex again, and he'll need to use a urinary catheter for the rest of his life.
