No one really thinks of being inventive with breast milk as it serves only one purpose, giving nutrition to babies. But this mom decided to do something more with her excess supply and turned her boob milk into butter. Yes, you read that right—butter.

Laura Hall posted a video of her homemade boob butter on TikTok, and it blew up with over 1.6 million views. Given the stellar response she got, she decided to show her curious viewers how she went about making her own so-called ‘udder butter.’

She let her milk sit until the fat rose to the top of the bottle. She then transferred the fatty cream-like substance into a separate bowl and whisked it until it became yellow, and had a thick clumpy consistency. She squeezed all the excess liquid out and once she did that the cream looked exactly like butter.

In another video she decided to do a taste test with her boyfriend and she spread the butter on two small pieces of toast. After taking a bite Hall instantly realised she would never eat anything like this again. She said:

To me it tastes like, you know when you burp and it kind of tastes like throw up.

Her boyfriend on the other hand wasn’t that disgusted and rated it a five of ten. When asked if he’d eat the whole piece, he replied:

If I was hungry.
