No one really thinks of being inventive with breast milk as it serves only one purpose, giving nutrition to babies. But this mom decided to do something more with her excess supply and turned her boob milk into butter. Yes, you read that right—butter.

Laura Hall posted a video of her homemade boob butter on TikTok, and it blew up with over 1.6 million views. Given the stellar response she got, she decided to show her curious viewers how she went about making her own so-called ‘udder butter.’

She then transferred the fatty cream-like substance into a separate bowl and whisked it until it became yellow, and had a thick clumpy consistency. She squeezed all the excess liquid out and once she did that the cream looked exactly like butter.

Her boyfriend on the other hand wasn’t that disgusted and rated it a five of ten. When asked if he’d eat the whole piece, he replied:

Breast milk is one of the healthiest sources of food that can be given to babies as it is rich in nutrients, proteins, and fat. It also contains antibodies that can fight away harmful infections. But whether or not they’re suitable for adults to consume has been a controversial topic.
