Missing grandmother's remains found in 22ft-long python after it swallowed her alive

While watching those scenes, the one consolation was that they were fiction and therefore unreal. However, that horrifying scene just came to life and left everyone shell-shocked, when a 22ft-long python swallowed an elderly woman.

Woman goes missing
It all started when 54-year-old Jahrah was taking a stroll in the jungle of the local province of Jambi situated on Sumatra island. As reported by The Telegraph, she went into the jungle to collect rubber, unknowing that she wouldn’t make it out of the woods alive. When she didn’t return home for a long time her family got worried and approached the local authorities.
More under this adMore under this adThe search parties ventured into the forest and looked for Jahrah tirelessly, however, after two days of searching there was still no sign of her. On the second day, the search party stumbled upon a massive 22ft-long python that had a swollen midsection.

Fearing the worse, the rescuers attacked the python and hit his head repeatedly. According to New York Post, they then sliced open the snake’s belly and discovered the undigested remains of the missing woman. The horrifying scene was recorded on a video and left the viewers slack-jawed. The head of the regional area of Terjun Gajah village, Anto, said:

He suspected that the snake attacked Jahrah and bit her. Gradually it suffocated the poor woman by wrapping itself around her before swallowing the body. The whole ordeal might have taken around two hours. It takes a python quite a long time to digest its meal, so they eat once in a few weeks.
