This is because milk production can happen through stimulation of the brain and breast.
The only necessary component to induce lactation—the official term for making milk without pregnancy and birth—is to stimulate and drain the breasts. She added that it is not necessary for one to be fertile or even to have ovaries or a uterus to breastfeed.
