This strange condition affects one in every 3,000 women worldwide, according to data from the World Health Organisation. It usually happens when the uterus fails to fuse correctly during development in the womb, resulting in uterine duplication.
Lauren had no idea that she had this until she got an ultrasound. A few months after she was diagnosed, she got surgery. The membrane that separates her two vaginas was removed so she could have a normal sex life.
