Deep sea fish caught in shallow waters
The water covers the majority of the Earth and is home to a plethora of creatures, many of which are yet to be discovered. Although we have uncovered quite a lot of aquatic life, a larger part still remains hidden in the depths of the water.

This is exactly what happened recently when a fisherman from Sinaloa, Mexico caught a fish that is commonly found in the deepest sea areas.

The fish was actually a deep-sea oarfish and looked like a fusion between an eel and a ‘flattened snake’, as per LadBible. Normally, these fish inhabits the regions below sea levels from 656 ft (200 m) and 3,280 ft (1000 m). So how did this one venture so far away from its home?
Some people believe that the appearance of it is a sign of ‘bad times’, while some think that there might have been some seismic activity on the sea bed that disturbed the fish. Due to this, it might have travelled to the shallow waters. The seismic shock, if big enough, can even cause an earthquake in the water which will be devastating for any coastal area.

On the other hand, a Japanese scientist Kiyoshi Wadatsumi, argued that creatures in the deep sea are much more sensitive to these activities. Regardless of the multiple theories, the appearance of the deep sea creature on human lands is still concerning.
