Though spiders are normally found pest in people’s houses, common house spiders are usually not harmful to humans. However, there definitely are spiders which can be extremely poisonous with their bites causing fever, pain and even death. Taking the advice of his friend, Harry went to the emergency department of Hull Royal Infirmary. The doctors there found that he was running a high temperature and also had a high heart rate. Blood samples were taken from him but besides inflammation, nothing alarming was detected.

Harry then left the hospital and proceeded to head to the student accommodation where he lived.

Student dies following suspected spider bite

His housemates saw him alive for the last time the next morning. The day after that they became concerned because he was not responding to them knocking on his door. Security was then called to break open the door and gain access to Harry’s room.

Sadly, they were too late as Harry was found dead in his bed. Paramedics who checked on him reported finding a large gaping wound on his back which appeared to be infected. The wound was the size of a £1.
