This year's Islander Brad McLelland didn't always look like this

The first 11 2021 Love Islanders were announced yesterday and ahead of the show starting next Monday, fans have been combing their Instas for more information. Brad McLelland’s Insta reveals that he’s very much into his fitness, with some impressive before-and-after fitness snaps showing how he got his eight-pack.

Brad’s fitness effort wasn’t just a pre-Love Island crunch though, as the transformation photos on his Instagram go all the way back to 2018. Funnily enough, on one of his transformation posts back in June 2019, one of his mates joked about him going into the Love Island villa—to which Brad responded ‘dont be starting rumours like that man!!’

Who is Brad McLelland?

Brad is 26 years old and a labourer from Northumberland. He describes himself as ‘easygoing, laid back’. He’s been single for two years, lives with his nan and claims to have never been on a date. He also revealed in his pre-Love Island interview that he’s not slept with anyone since the end of 2019.

Revealing his reasons for going on Love Island, Brad said:

I want to date face-to-face. I like meeting people. I'm easy going, laid back. Who wouldn't want to be in a nice villa in a hot country for a while?

Brad named Instagram model Sommer Ray, former Islander Zara McDermott and actress Megan Fox as his celebrity crushes. Based on that, we reckon Sharon Gaffka or Shannon Singh sound like his type on paper, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see him couple up with one of them next week.
