Phillip Schofield Branded 'Arch-Manipulator' By Yet Another Ex-Colleague

As one of the nation's favourite daytime TV presenters, Phillip Schofield has enjoyed a squeaky-clean reputation for the majority of his career. However, this is now being endangered by an increasingly bitter row with fellow ITV star Amanda Holden.

Amanda kicked off the feud when she complained to ITV boss Kevin Lygo that Phillip had campaigned against her joining him on This Morning last autumn to cover Holly Willoughby's absence whilst she filmed I'm A Celeb in Australia.

According to a former daytime TV exec, 'Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced — and having been told privately she’d got the gig.

She feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion. She was told he’d chosen Rochelle because she was easier to ‘manage’ on air - and understandably that incensed her.'

Amanda ramped things up a notch when she publicly confirmed the spat on her Heart Radio show this week. She stated that she had tried to 'extend an olive branch' to the veteran presenter by inviting him for coffee a few months ago - but that she never received a text back.
