More under this adITV have released a more detailed trailer for new dating series The Cabins. We also finally know the official release date, January 4th.
It’s now been nearly a whole year since the last series of Love Island aired–and we’re more than ready for a new series. Whilst we won’t be getting one until the summer, ITV2’s new reality dating series with a twist, The Cabins, may just fill that gap when it arrives on our screens on 4th January 2021.

The brand new trailer for The Cabins gives us the first sneak peek at ten daters who are set to appear on the series–four guys and six girls. There will be three cabins and each will be occupied by one prospective couple at a time, with daters choosing to stay another night if they’re getting on well with their date.
More under this adMore under this adWhilst the daters on The Cabins seem to come out with equally cheesy one-liners as Love Islanders do (one prospective dater proclaims in the trailer ‘I want to be a bag for life, I do not wanna be your standard plastic bag’), the new trailer has revealed one major difference from Love Island that will please many fans.
The Cabins same-sex couples
One of the biggest criticisms of Love Island in the past is that there hasn’t been much scope for gay or lesbian couples on the show. It looks like ITV bosses have taken this into account as the new trailer shows that there will be at least one same-sex coupling on The Cabins as a prospective lesbian couple feature in the trailer.

ITV have teased:
Simmering hot tubs, romantic crackling fires, cosy sofas, it's all here in ITV2's brand new dating show, The Cabins. Singletons are ditching the dating apps, giving up the ghosting and casting off the catfishers in favour of spending 24-hours getting to know each other in an intimate log cabin.
