Fans of the show were convinced that Maura Higgins and Alex Demetriou were more than just dance partners after seeing their sizzlingly hot performances this January. And the rumours were sent into overdrive when Maura split from former Love Island co-star Curtis Pritchard in early March.

I don't want to look back over the past few months for warning signs. But it's not nice to read about her relationship with Alex and to see pictures of them together.'

Now, Maura has responded to the continuing rumours that there’s something going on between her and Alex. In an Instagram Question and Answer on Sunday 10th May, Maura didn’t hold back when asked how she felt about it all, saying:
