Change may be the only constant but now when it comes to the Big Brother UK’s voice. The Big Brother UK voice has remained constant since the start of the show in 2000. According to Radio Times, the British actor, broadcaster and voice-over artist started narrating the show in 2000 when it aired on channel 4 and continued his responsibilities again when the show moved to channel 5 in 2011.

When the show moved to ITV, naturally, he was the first choice for narration again. Prior to the news of his return to the series, Marcus said he was confident that he would be asked to the narrator again. He said:

Marcus has been a part of many other shows like The Bill, Finney, London's Burning and the film Mad Dogs and Englishmen. However, he became the reality TV icon when he started narrating Big Brother UK.
According to The Mirror, Marcus was paid a whopping £100,000 per series in 2009. Meaning, the actual number would be much higher in present day and age.
