Love Island bosses have revealed that the 10th series of the ITV2’s dating reality show will have many twists in order to not make the show ‘predictable.’ Here’s what we know!

Summer Love Island is days away from starting and the 10 sexy singletons are ready to embark on a journey to find love. With Maya Jama coming back as a host yet again, Love Island fans are excited for the iconic series to begin. While the show will have some of its iconic bits and show staples like Casa Amor and Movie Night, show bosses have revealed there will be lots of surprising twists and turns as well.

Summer Love Island to axe ‘digusting’ Lip Service challenge

Last year, many Love Island fans fumed when they saw contestants take part in Love Island’s ‘Lip Service.’ Lip Service has been a part of many series in past. The challenge requires contestants to carry liquids or ingredients in their mouth and transfer it to their partners through their mouths in order to win the race.

Fans heavily slammed the challenge last year and said the challenge is ‘not erotic or kinky. they're DISGUSTING.’

Show bosses have heard the fans and axed the challenge this year. Mike Spencer said:

I think we’ll leave it - I do miss it a little bit, but we decided to get rid of it. We’ll keep that not happening.

Summer Love Island may bring in 'throuples' this time

The throuple craze has been on a high lately, thanks to David Haye, Una Healy and Sian Osborne. Changing times have also insisted Love Island bosses take part in it and they revealed that they could be open to the idea of throuples competing. Mike Spencer told The Sun:

I think we'd have to look at how that would affect the recouplings but yeah if you wanna be a throuple, that’s very in right now, isn't it?

I'm just trying to think of the logistics of voting, it wouldn't really work. Maybe update the app?!

Mike also talked about how same-sex relationships are a tricky aspect for production and so they’ll stick to the usual format for now.

On the first day as well - I hope viewers will be gobsmacked. It’s [bringing] twists on traditional formats and keeping islanders on their toes, because it can be predictable.
