Justin Bieber Opens Up About His Addictions In His New Youtube Documentary: Seasons

The 'Love Yourself' singer has released a Youtube Originals docu-series surrounding different aspects of his life called 'Seasons'. In his latest episode entitled 'Dark Season' (available to watch with youtube premium), Bieber goes into detail talking about his struggle with substance abuse.
The singer reveals that he became addicted to drugs at just 13, consuming mainly pills and cannabis:

"People don't know how serious it got, I was waking up in the morning and the first thing I was doing is popping pills and smoking a blunt and starting my day."More under this adMore under this ad
The 'Baby' superstareven confided that at his lowest point he thought that his addiction would get the better of him and that his security team would have to ensure he was still alive throughout the night.
Bieber's turning to drugs comes from having a high-pressure adolescence, going through such a pertinent stage in life while in the media spotlight resulted in some unhealthy coping mechanisms. Bieber opened up in his episode:

The pop star has since made efforts to get clean. Before marrying his wife Hailey Bieber in 2018, she revealed she previously would have nothing to do with Justin 'until he chose to get sober'.
The episode also elaborates on how Bieber uses an oxygen chamber to relieve anxiety and stress and reveals that he now refers to a brain disorder specialist.
After taking a year away from his music career last year to focus on self-improvement Bieber has announced his come back for 2020 with a new album in the works as well as a US tour.
