What Sami had to say about GBBO

He told Metro that he's been watching the show and is aware that there's a new one on American Netflix, but he's waiting for it to come to Canadian screens so he can watch it as well. Spoilers were warned to stay away:

I know there’s a new season going on right now, but I haven’t seen any of it yet because it’s on American Netflix, I’m in Canada at the moment. So no spoilers!

But one day, one day I’ll get on there. Me and Noel [Fielding] will hang out, crack a few jokes. Paul [Hollywood] can judge my sub-par vegan banana bread or whatever it is. One of these days!

I’d have to practice a little bit! Also, being vegan I guess I’d have to wonder if I could use dairy products, or if I would use dairy products. I don’t know – it would be very interesting.

What he is doing now

The 38-year-old wrestler is currently a part of a storyline involving WWE champion Roman Reigns. He told The Mirror that he became a 'Honorary Uce' after joining his Bloodline stable:

This is one of the more filled-out, long-term stories I've ever been a part of, and it's long, even by WWE standards usually we might do two or three month stories, but I've been aligned with The Bloodline in some respects since April and we're still only kind of scratching the surface as to where this is going to go.

The initial idea was just to have some on-screen interactions every now and again because it made sense as the self-proclaimed locker room leader I should have a good rapport with the Head of the Table. So we were kind of cooking up that idea.

Meanwhile, judge Prue Leith has addressed the contentious Mexican Week episode that aired nearly a month ago. The hosts, Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas, were dressed in sombreros and ponchos for the episode, with Fielding saying they shouldn't make Mexican jokes, to which Lucas replied, 'not even Juan?'

Fans panned the episode and the apparent insensitive comments, but Leith, 82, insisted that they were not intendedto offend viewers. Leith insisted in an interview with The New Yorker, according to The Mail:

There would have been absolutely no intention to offend. That’s not the spirit of the show.
