Georgia Harrison rushed to hospital in Dubai over Christmas

Christmas wasn’t quite what most of us had in mind in 2020 – and Georgia Harrisonwas no exception to that. One of many reality stars spending the festive season in Dubai, Georgia’s plans were scuppered when she had to be rushed to hospital with a ruptured cyst on Christmas Eve. Georgia wrote on her Insta story on Boxing Day:

I had a ruptured cyst without knowing and it has caused multiple organs in my body to become severely infected, my kidneys being the worst. The doctors here are amazing and we're doing our best to fight the infection but currently I am still suffering with high fever, when not on paracetamol, and abdominal/ back pain.

‘So grateful’

Georgia also took the time to pay tribute to both the staff in the hospital and her friends for rallying around her. She said: ‘I've never fallen ill like this before, the only time I've been in hospital was to pick up some boobs so it's been a real shock to me and quite scary. But I have lots of amazing friends in Dubai who have bought me presents, clothes, flowers, food and I'm in extremely good hands when it comes to the medical team here.’

Georgia has since been discharged from the hospital and on Monday she sent fans a video update from her Dubai hotel room, sipping on a green juice from Starbucks and surrounded by bunches of flowers from well-wishers, she treated herself to a relaxing bath with candles and incense.

Alcohol-free New Year’s

She said: ‘Honestly, I am so grateful to be back in my hotel, on my balcony and just be able to breathe in fresh air. I have not had a sip of fresh air in like five days. I’m not gonna be able to drink for New Year but d’you know what, I actually don’t care, I can have fun without drinking, and I know I will do.’
