Fans Are NOT HAPPY About Megan Barton Hanson's New Look

As an aspiring model and one of our Love Island favourites, Megan Barton Hanson is no stranger to switching up her look.

However, many fans are criticising her for cultural appropriation after she opted for long cornrow-style braids for this weekend's Reading festival. After sharing a snap of her new extensions on her Instagram story on Friday, Megan posted a pic of herself hanging out with Post Malone at Reading festival on her main Insta page this Sunday.

The hairstyle caused a storm in Megan's Instagram comments as some fans accused Megan of 'appropriating black culture' whilst others defended Megan's right to wear the hairstyle.

Megan isn't the first celebrity to cause controversy by wearing this hairstyle. Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Vanessa Hudgens have all been criticised in the past for wearing braids that fans have deemed to be culturally appropriative.

Megan is yet to make any comment on the controversy.
