Julie Andrews AKA Mary Poppins
The actress received an Oscar for her performance in the film. At first, it was out of spite that she agreed to play the role of Mary Poppins. She was not yet aware that this role would allow her to make a name for herself in the community. She was still bitter about missing the opportunity to star in My Fair Lady, a role obtained by Audrey Hepburn. The actress then starred in The Sound of Music before quickly putting her career on hold to take care of her family. The actress is now 81 years old. More recently, she has lent her voice talent to the Shrek and Despicable Me films.

The actor was almost 40 years old when he was offered the role of Bert. He was the only member of the cast to be known at that time. He was already a TV presenter and was known on Broadway. Prior to this role, he played in Bye Bye Birdie and launched his own series that brought him several Emmy Awards. He has been in many films. Today, he is 91 years old and recently made an appearance in Night at the Museum.
Karen Dotrice AKA Jane Banks
When she played young Jane, Karen was only 9 years old. She was raised in show business, both her parents being actors in theatre. She regretted being known so early and did not have such a great career as her parents. In 2004, she was elevated to legendary status by Disney. She is now 61 years old.

He was only 7 years old when he played the little boy. He starred in three films throughout his career. At the age of 21, he contracted hepatitis whilst travelling around the world. Tragically, this disease was fatal and he passed away in 1977. In 2004, he was posthumously elevated to the rank of Disney legend.
David Tomlinson AKA George Banks
He starred in about twenty films over the course of his career, including four Disney films: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Love Bug. He survived a plane crash in his youth. He died in 2000 at the age of 83 from natural causes.

The actress played the mother suffragette. She was a dancer, singer, actress and pianist. In 1973, she received a Tony Award for her role in the musical A Little Night Music. In 1999, she played her last role in Superstar. She is now 95 years old.
