The only time in the year that Elizabeth II calls on a makeup artist, Marilyn Widdess, a BBC employee trained in makeup, is for her televised New Year's address. On that day, Marilyn Widdess calls on two of the Queen's favourite brands under royal warrant: Elizabeth Arden and Clarins.
