The Queen's annual summer break: Here's what we know

The Royal Family is always on the go for their royal duties and barely gets to spend time with each other. Unless of course, there’s a major event in the family or something. So, they cherish their summer tradition of the annual summer reunion at Balmoral Castle.

The Queen has been residing at the Balmoral estate since late July, confirms Marie Claire magazine. She has since then been joined by many of her Royal Family members. This includes Prince Charles, Prince Edward and Lady Louise Windsor.

It is expected that soon the Cambridges – Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte – will join the 96-year-old monarch on her annual summer vacation.

They have spent the other half of their vacation on the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall and are currently at their countryside retreat at Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Victoria Ward, a royal correspondent, said:

In the coming weeks, they will travel to Scotland for their annual summer break with the Queen at Balmoral before returning to settle into Adelaide Cottage ahead of the new school term.

The Sussexes

While the Cambridges plan to join Her Majesty on her annual summer break, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be there. It is still unknown if they were not invited or if they are not planning to come. Although, this is a perfect backdrop for them to make amends and reconcile with Prince William and his family.
