CR7 resemblance
A social media uproar has resulted from the uncanny similarity between King Charles' new cypher and Cristiano Ronaldo's own personal insignia. Buckingham Palace revealed the King’s monogram yesterday that consists of his initial C and the letter R that stands for ‘Rex’ – which is Latin for King, confirms MailOnline. It is topped with a Tudor Crown in a reference to his grandfather, George VI.
The Tudor crown was also depicted on the cyphers of Edward VII, Edwards VIII, George V and George VI. The Lord Lyon King of Arms gave his approval for the Scottish Crown to the symbol's rendition in Scotland.
