The overall house
The founder of Zhoosh Paints Sophie Smith spoke to The Express and shed a light on the insides of the Duchess of York’s luxurious new home. Explaining how London properties are ‘often short on space’ even the ones in the most expensive and poshest area like Mayfair, she confirmed Fergie’s house is smaller than one would imagine. However, the colours make the most of the room for her new home and make it look ‘larger.’ She added:
This [lack of windows] is instead maximised by pale colours on the walls and the same colour being used on the ceiling, which automatically gives the illusion of more space, and naturally draws the eyes up to the large skylight.More under this adMore under this ad
The house is certainly fit for Royalty as it has a really opulent atmosphere with bold art pieces and natural wood looks along with its abundance of traditional furnishings.

The main living area is furnished with plush pink and grey patterned sofas and intriguing artwork is also displayed on the walls, including a big elephant painting. The room also has built-in cabinets and shelving on either side of an open fireplace at one end. A huge bookcase, flat-screen TV, mirror, and elaborate light fixture that serves as the room's focal point round out the furnishings. Sophie said:
Lots of plants complement the rich reds of the chairs and floor and reflect the natural-looking colours on the walls well, bringing the outdoors in.More under this adMore under this ad
Again, this room is not large, but it feels sumptuous and welcoming - and quite regal.More under this adMore under this ad
The bathroom
The bathroom, like the rest of the house, is small and luxurious with warm pink colour on the walls and natural wood cupboards. ‘Quite traditional’ as expected the bathroom looks ‘well in any period property.’
