Queen Set To Ban Harry And Meghan From Using Sussex Royal Brand
More under this adAccording to reports, the Queen is set to ban her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle from using the Sussex Royal brand following their decision to step down as senior members of the Royal Family. The decision will likely come as a blow to the couple who have invested a lot in the name.
Whilst Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be happily getting on with their new life in Canada with their son Archie Harrison, the finer details of their new arrangements have still not been fully outlined. In a setback to the couple, it has been reported that they will no longer be able to use the name Sussex Royal.

The couple, who were made Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the occasion of their wedding in May 2018, have been using the Sussex Royal moniker as their Instagram handle since April 2019. They had also launched an expensive new Sussex Royal websiteand were in the process of trademarking the name for a wide range of products as part of their plans for financial independence.
More under this adMore under this adHowever, it has reportedly been decided that if they are no longer working members of the Royal Family, it will no longer be appropriate for them to use a ‘Royal’ brand name. Harry and Meghan themselves were apparently involved in the decision and have agreed that they will have to rebrand.
According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail:
‘In many ways this is inevitable given their decision to step down, but it must surely come as a blow to the couple as they have invested everything into the Sussex Royal brand The Queen would have had little choice, however.’More under this adMore under this ad
They continued: 'The Sussexes' original plan – of being half-in, half-out working royals – was never going to work. Obviously, as the Queen has made clear, they are still much-loved members of her family. But if they aren't carrying out official duties and are now seeking other commercial opportunities, they simply cannot be allowed to market themselves as royals.’
