Newsweek reveals that according to Andersen's latest book, Lady Diana had to rebuff romantic advances that Trump made in the aftermath of the breakdown of her marriage to Prince Charles.
More under this adMore under this adShortly after Princess Diana’s fatal crash, the former President claimed on a radio show that he could have slept with the Princess. According to journalist Selina Scott, Trump apparently told friends that ‘his biggest regret was that they hadn’t dated’.

However, Scott claims that Trump’s advances were unwanted and even went as far as to say that the business mogul was ‘stalking’ Princess Diana.
According to The Mirror, Scott wrote that Trump bombarded Princess Diana’s Kensington Palace apartment with bouquets of roses and orchids in an apparent attempt to woo the recently divorced Princess. The journalist believed that Trump was searching for the ‘ultimate trophy wife’.

In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential elections, Trump was interviewed by Piers Morgan. During their interview, the ex-Good Morning Britain host brought up the rumours of Trump’s ‘little frisson’ for Lady Diana.
