Prince William’s recent social media post has a loving tribute to Prince Harry that you may have missed

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Instagram account stole the show during coronation weekend apart from Katy Perry and her embarrassing blunders. While the two brothers - Prince William and Harry - may have had their differences in the past, Prince William has shown his ‘deep affection’ for Prince Harry - who has a luxury hotel room on standby always.

Prince Harry’s photo spotted in Prince William’s video's background

Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a behind-the-scenes video of their coronation preparation on their YouTube channel. One of the shots has Princess Charlotte - who is raised differently from Prince George - is seen running towards the door through their drawing room. The background of the video has a piano and a series of framed photos on the side tables.

One of these photos caught Royal fans' attention who spotted that it was a photo of Prince Harry. The photo is believed to feature Princess Diana with Princes William and Harry in 1995 - a Royal Christmas card picture.

Why was Prince Harry’s photo included in the video?

Reportedly, Royal aides are very particular about what is displayed in the background of any royal photograph, video or speech. As such, Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that having Prince Harry’s photo in the background is Prince William’s way of showing his ‘deep affection’ towards his brother.

She told OK! Magazine:

I think you could take it as a token of William's deep affection for Harry, regardless of everything that has happened. It would also be a sign of the often happy childhood they had and of how much they loved their mother.

Family portraits in any distributed royal photograph, video or speech are always placed for a reason and the background is scoured so I think it is likely to have been included as a reference of their sibling bond.

Jennie added:

It could have been easily removed so I think is as much a tribute and a sign of his love for his mum as for his brother.

There were happy times when they grew up together and they were very, very close so perhaps that's why William has it.
