Prince William: This photo of his visit to Poland is going viral for an unexpected reason

Prince William made a surprise visit to troops in Poland, only a few miles away from the Ukrainian border. The two-day visit was a surprise, and all preparations had remained secret until he landed in the Polish capital of Warsaw.

Prince William's surprise visit to Poland

The visit was kept a secret at first because the Prince's security team was concerned for his safety. He was there to thank British and Polish troops for their service in Poland.

The British army base in Rzeszow is only an hour drive away from the Ukrainian border and was set up to aid the fight in Ukraine and send help to the Ukrainian army. Although the visit was requested by Buckingham Palace, Prince William has expressed his support to the Ukrainian people from the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

After his visit to the Rzeszow army base, the Prince went to the capital of Warsaw and visited a Ukrainian refugee centre, where he met some of the 300 women and children living there. He also met the Polish President Andrzej Duda in the presidential palace.

Prince William has been praised for his visit and his engagement with the British army. However, there was someone else who also caught the public's attention. During his visit, the Prince was surrounded by his security team. Among this team, one man has gone viral online for an unexpected reason.

Nicknamed the 'big dude', this man took away the Prince's spotlight because of his height. The photo of him walking behind Prince William has gotten over 429K views on Twitter, along with thousands of likes.

Several Twitter users thanked him for protecting the Prince, and have wondered how tall that man is, since Prince William is already quite tall.
