Columnist Carole Malone told GB News that Prince William tried to ‘overshadow’ Prince Philip’s memorial service with his Instagram post about his recent tour of the Caribbean with his wife, Kate Middleton.
More under this adMore under this adPrince William posted on Instagram an open letter to the people of Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, which according to Malone, was a ‘petulant’ act.
Carole Malone told GB News presenter Dan Wootton that posting such a thing on Instagram was a ‘huge risk to publicly disavow the ‘never complain, never explain’ mantra’. The ‘never complain, never explain’ mantra is a tradition where the Royal Family should never express their political views.

Prince William’s Instagram post
Prince William posted a heartfelt message on his and his wife’s Instagram account as they ended their tour of the Caribbean. In his post, he talked about how these foreign tours are an ‘opportunity to reflect’.
He also talked about how he and Kate are ‘committed to service’ and for them, it is ‘not telling people what to do’.
