Prince William and Kate Middleton could already be enrolling Prince George at Eton

Even if you are a member of the Royal Family, you still have to be mindful of your child’s future. Whatever decision you make will change the course of your child’s life.

Prince William and Princess Kate are currently facing a major decision when it comes to their eldest son, Prince Geroge, who turns ten next month. Prince George is currently still in primary school, but in three years he will have to change schools.

At the moment, it isn’t sure which school the future King of England will attend, but the Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted at Eton on Thursday, June 22. Have the Royal couple finally made a decision on where they will send their oldest child?

Prince William and Princess Kate were at Eton

Prince William and Princess Kate have taken Prince George to visit Eton, a boarding school for boys. Eton wouldn’t be a surprising choice for the young Prince, as it is where his father and uncle, (William and Harry) went to school.

However, what is rather surprising, is that, according to Town & Country, if the Prince and Princess of Wales want their son to attend Eton in 2026 - when he is 13 - they have to enrol him by the end of June this year. This is why the family may have been visiting the school, so Prince George can get a feel of his potential future school.

Eton is a boarding school for boys from 13 to 18 in Berkshire, Windsor. Prince William was the first Senior Royal to attend Eton in 1995. Queen Elizabeth’s cousins, Princes Edward, Richard and Michael also attended Eton.

According to Berkshire Live, the tuition at Eton College for the 2021-2022 school year cost £14,698 per term, which totals to £44,094 per year as there are three terms.

Prince William and Princess Kate may choose a different boarding school

Even though Eton seems like the most obvious choice for the Royal couple, since it is relatively close to their home and it’s where Prince William went to school, they could still pick a different boarding school.

Indeed the Prince and Princess of Wales could opt to send Prince George to Gordonstoun, which is another boarding school, but all the way up in Scotland. King Charles and Prince Philip both attended Gordonstoun boarding school.

However, given how much Prince William and Princess Kate are hands-on parents, they may not want to send Prince George so far away.
