The Royal Family children have had this tradition of not using their real names in school and Prince Louis may follow the same suit.

As Prince William and Kate Middleton are ready to step into a new chapter of their life, their kids have to prepare for a new chapter too. While Prince George and Princess Charlotte already go to regular schools, Prince Louis currently attends nursery school and will be ready to join the real school soon with his siblings.

Prince George’s real name is George Alexander Louis and his official title is His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, however the 9-year-old goes by the name of George Cambridge in school.

Princess Charlotte’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana and her official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, while her name at school is Charlotte Cambridge.

So, if Prince Louis follows the same pattern, his name could simply be called Louis Cambridge, when he starts his formal education.

Last name tradition

This comes as getting a last name for the school is somewhat a tradition for the royal family. The last name of the Royal Family is Mountbatten-Windsor – a combination of Prince Philip's and Queen Elizabeth II's surnames. And Prince Harry’s son Archie uses that last name as he’s not given a royal title.

However, even Prince Harry and Prince William used different names during their formal education. Their names during their schooling were Harry Wales and William Wales after their father’s title – Prince Charles – Prince of Wales. The two continued to keep the same names during their military careers as well.
