The disgraced Duke, who was stripped of his military titles earlier this year, could also be kicked out of his brother – King Charles – in the long run.

Prince Andrew, allegedly the late Queen Elizabeth II’s favourite son, was in her protection till she was alive. However, now that Charles and Camilla have taken up the royal responsibilities of The King and The Queen Consort, things are set to shake up a little for Prince Andrew.

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson still share a house together in Windsor, despite having divorced in 1996. They currently live in the 31-bedroom home – the Royal Lodge – which is a short drive away from Windsor Castle.

While the couple has signed a lease of 75 years on the residence, royal insiders believe that King Charles may soon kick them out when he reviews the Royal Family’s vast property. The new king will not make a decision soon, but the disgraced Duke may be ‘thrown to the wolves’ in the coming months.

The insider told The Sun:

They are no longer under the protection of the Queen but it would seem callous to throw them out so soon after she died.
But if he’s doing no duties and rattling around a £ 30 million mansion during the cost-of-living crisis, then it’s a terrible look.

Although, the couple is believed to be ‘safe for now’ in the aftermath of the Queen’s death.

What happens to Prince Andrew if he’s kicked out?

If Prince Andrew is thrown out of the Royal Lodge, it will revert to the Crown Estate. According to a 2005 National Audit Office report, Crown Estate is a collection of UK properties that belong to the British reigning monarch but are neither owned by the government nor a part of the monarch’s private property, confirms Express.co.uk.
