Peter Phillips: Princess Anne's son spotted with new girlfriend Harriet Sperling

Peter Phillips has just debuted a blossoming new relationship while attending a cross-country horse riding event at Badminton. As reported by The Sun, he was seen holding hands with a mystery woman and looking absolutely 'smitten'.

The news comes only four weeks after it was reported that Peter Phillips had split up with Lindsay Wallace, his ex-girlfriend of three years. At the time, The Sun once again broke the news speaking to an anonymous source who said:

They were friends before their relationship blossomed. But Peter and Lindsay have gone their separate ways as the relationship simply ran its course.

Moreover, one of the reasons behind the split seems to have been Peter Phillips' hectic schedule. The source added:

Peter has been travelling all over the world and has been incredibly busy and Lindsay is based up in Scotland, so it's been hard for them to see each other.

But it looks like the breakup has not been too hard on Phillips...

Here's what we know about his new relationship

Given his recent breakup, it's safe to say that Phillips' relationship with his new girlfriend Harriet Sperling is rather new. There's not much known about Sperling to date, except that she's an NHS nurse, a paediatric specialist, who is also a freelance writer. The mystery woman is in her 40s, like Peter Phillips who is currently 46 years old.

Phillips was spotted 'holding hands' with Sperling amongst the crowds—a sign that while the relationship is new, it is already getting rather serious. A witness said told The Sun:

They looked completely smitten and he was grinning from ear to ear.

He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world.

He didn’t seem to mind who saw them together.

Speaking of Sperling, the witness said that she looked quite 'relaxed' and 'pleased to be shown off'. The witness also suggested that their body language made it seem like the two had 'known each other for some time.'

Peter Phillips is getting serious with new girlfriend

For now, it is unclear how the two met, how they know each other, and how long they have been together. One thing that is clear is that the relationship is moving fast. Sperling has already met Phillips' daughters, 13-year-old Savannah, and 12-year-old Isla, as the couple was seen leaving the equestrian event with them.

She has also brushed shoulders with Queen Camilla, who attended the final day of the Badminton Horse Trials. The Queen was seen chatting with Phillips and, according to Express, Sperling even shook her Majesty's hand.

It remains unknown whether Sperling has been officially introduced to the royal members, including Phillips' mother Princess Anne, and his cousins Prince William and Kate Middleton, who he recently spoke very highly of.

Other royals who attended the event include Zara Tindall and her husband Mike, but they were not pictured with the new couple.
