In February, the Royal Family learned that Thomas Kingston, Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband, had suddenly passed away at the age of 45. Thomas Kingston was a war hero, he was found dead at his parents’s home in the Cotswolds.

According to reports, Thomas Kingston was found in his parents’s outbuilding with a ‘traumatic head wound’ and a gun was found near his body. The police believe no one else was involved in his death and it was not treated as suspicious.

Lady Gabriella Windsor moves back in with her parents
As reported by Daily Mail, Lady Gabriella Windsor, 43, has recently moved back in with her parents, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent - Queen Elizabeth’s first cousins - in Kensington Palace. Lady Gabriella had been living in Notting Hill in the home she shared with her late husband, but decided she didn’t want to be alone.

At the time of Thomas Kingston’s death, Lady Gabriella paid tribute to her husband alongside his family. They described the late war hero as an ‘exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him’. Thomas Kingston's funeral took place on March 12 and it was a significant date for the couple.

As reported by Us Weekly, before starting their romance, Thomas Kingston dated Pippa Middleton - Princess Kate’s sister - and Lady Gabriella dated Aatish Taseer, a journalist. The two had met through mutual friends years before they started dating.

As per Us Weekly, the two had gotten engaged a month prior on Sark, a Channel Island off the coast of France.
In May 2019, two years after their first outing as a couple, Lady Gabriella and Thomas tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Several members of the Royal Family attended the wedding, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and Prince Harry.
Thomas Kingston had studied economic history at the University of Bristol and then joined the diplomatic missions unit of the Foreign Office in Iraq, as per Daily Mail. During his mission, he was working as a project officer for the Iraqi Institute of Peace from 2003 to 2006.
