French publication Gala decided to mark her death’s anniversary by honouring the symbolism of what Lady Diana was buried in. According to them, she was buried holding a rosary that Mother Theresa had gifted her. Moreover, Gala reveals that Lady Diana was buried wearing her favourite jewellery.

Lady Diana, a fashion icon forever
Gala also discloses that Lady Diana was buried in a black wool dress with long sleeves. The dress is special because Lady Diana had purchased it in the South of France just a few weeks before she died. Furthermore, the dress is designed by Catherine Walker who worked with Lady Diana as early as 1981.
According to Gala, throughout her life Lady Diana could have worn more than a thousand pieces designed by Walker.
Finally, in 2021, Father Yves-Marie Clochard-Bossuet, chaplain when Lady Diana died shared that the woman was buried wearing makeup that sustained the natural beauty she was known for.
