The King of England is understood to be a simple nature-loving man when he’s not being a monarch of the country. After the glorious coronation weekend, the King has decided to take a vacation to his favourite destination in the world - a dusty village in the wilds of Romania’s dirt-poor ‘Dracula country.’

With his riches and money, he could vacation anywhere in the world, but his heart lies in the beautiful backwater of Viscri. A place he calls his ‘second home.’

The King, reportedly, has at least 10 properties in the area and adores the ‘timelessness’ of the place. During his last trip to Viscri, he said:
It’s the timelessness of it which is so remarkable, almost out of some of those stories one used to read as a child. It’s quite remarkable.More under this adMore under this ad

He is clearly a very kind and sensitive man who has a very deep love of nature, someone who is much more at ease here than in the modern world.
Charles - who silently gave £2 million for a new ecological wastewater treatment plant - is apparently much more at ease in Viscri than in England. Katherine added:

Another villager added:
I’m not sure what he’s like when he’s out and about in the UK, but when he’s here he’s always very friendly and is happy to stop and talk to local people.

King Charles’ tranquil retreat - Viscri
The Sun described entering into the village as if one were to step in the 1700s as gipsy horses and carts rattle along the shingle track. The picturesque village has the old-age charm where ‘squawking geese squabble, cockerels crow and head-scarfed grannies knit and gossip while farmyard smells fill the air.’

It has an ornate antique oak double bed with matching bedside tables and a writing table. The monarch will be visiting the place next month.
