On February 5, 2024, King Charles announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate. The King has started treatment for the cancer and has been advised to not undergo public engagements for the time being.

As per the statement from The Palace, the King wished to share his diagnosis in the hopes it would bring awareness to others and encourage them to get checked.

However, it seems that some people have taken advantage of the situation as an AI-generated book on the King’s health is being sold on Amazon. It is understood that The Palace is seeking legal action.
Buckingham Palace are calling lawyers over the AI-generated book
As reported by Daily Mail, Buckingham Palace discovered that a book on King Charles’ health is being sold on Amazon. This led to The Palace releasing a statement claiming that the book is 'intrusive' and 'insensitive'.

Any such titles speculating about His Majesty's diagnosis and treatment are intrusive, insensitive and filled with inaccuracies.
The Palace added that their legal team is looking into the fake biography:

As per Daily Mail, the book was generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and it found that it was not the only fake biography sold on Amazon.

Daily Mail reportedly led an investigation and discovered that 7 biographies making false claims about King Charles’ health are being sold on Amazon.
More under this adMore under this adThe books allegedly claimed ‘vivid descriptions’ of the moment His Majesty learned about his cancer diagnosis as well as details about King Charles’ surgery to remove a ‘tumour’ and the ‘fatigue’ the King experienced after chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
After the discovery was made, Amazon deleted several of the fake biographies but some were still on sale.
All of the fake biographies were reportedly penned by unknown authors and used AI to write them. They were published to Amazon through its self-publishing platform. As per Daily Mail, Amazon refused to disclose the authors’ identities.
