The job advert states:
As a Telephone Operator, you’ll join the busy switchboard operation responsible for handling calls to the Royal residences. With around 4,000 calls every week, you'll join a dynamic team at the heart of the Royal Household. Answering and processing calls for a number of Royal residences, you will provide an efficient and friendly service to external callers, and a range of internal colleagues across multiple locations.More under this adMore under this ad
What qualifications do you need?
In order to qualify for the job, you should have previous switchboard or reception experience and be comfortable communicating professionally with a range of people. As well as being confident on the phone, you also need basic IT skills, a customer-focused approach and a proactive and flexible nature.
The job pays £23,000 per annum plus benefits–which include 33 days annual leave, free lunch, a 15% employer contribution pension scheme and various options for continuous professional development. You’ll have to be open to non-standard working hours though as the job may require working weekends and bank holidays.
