Winter Love Island: Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell split up after repeated 'we're good' claims

Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda met during Casa Amor on Winter Love Island this year. The two were then eventually evicted from the show and after a few public appearances together, they sparked split rumours.

Olivia repeatedly denied the split

After Maxwell went to Mexico for a solo trip and Olivia stayed in the UK, Love Island fans were convinced that the two have split, but the 27-year-old denied the split on the Not My Bagg podcast. She said:

There’s been rumours that we split up. But no we’re literally fine. We’re really good, cool calm collected he’s a good guy and he treats me nice.

However, according to The Sun, the couple has parted ways after ‘drifting apart.’ The two have been trying to put up a show but that didn’t last for long. A source said:

Although it was rumoured they’d already split they only had a proper chat about where their relationship was going yesterday, and they both agreed the writing was on the wall.

They had fun while it lasted, and there are no hard feelings at all, but he obviously went to Mexico, and Olivia has been focusing on work projects.

They have naturally drifted apart.

The stars haven’t officially announced the split, however, they have removed pictures with each from their Instagram accounts hinting that the rumours are true. Although, the two still follow each other on social media.

After the news of their split hit the media, some fans went on to Maxwell’s Instagram account and commented:

hi maxwell, yes I read that you and olivia have broken up. It was sad that it didn't work out, but I hope you both find someone who suits you.
