Emmy Award winning actress Anne Heche is reportedly not expected to survive her recent car crash. The Guardian is reporting the actress is allegedly brain dead and surrounded by close family and friends.

The crash happened in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles on August 5th and police are currently investigating whether or not Anne was driving under the influence at the time of her crash.

Anne Heche, born in 1969 rose to fame in the late 1980s for her work in soap opera Another World in which she earned a Daytime Emmy award. The actress went on to gain notoriety for her roles in movies such as Donnie Brasco, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and most recently, Dancing with the Stars.

Anne alleged that her father sexually abused her at a young age which may have caused the estrangement between her and her four siblings. Heche’s mother and sister Abigail spoke out against the allegations which Anne continued to assert.

Anne was sent to the psychiatric ward and released soon after.
