The fashion world has been in tears since the news dropped. Designer Karl Lagerfeld died on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at the age of 85. After making his debut at Pierre Balmain and getting his first job at Chloé, it was in 1983 that Karl Lagerfeld took over the artistic direction of Chanel. He created nearly a dozen collections a year and reinforced the DNA of the Haute Couture label. Over the years, he collaborated with many muses, starting with icons like Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Carla Bruni and Kate Moss. Then, he reinvented himself with the new generation by using new top models like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber (daughter of Cindy Crawford) and Lily-Rose Depp, daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp.
