Taylor Swift recently re-recorded her first album Fearless after a lot of struggle caused by music mogul Scooter Braun. Braun brought over Swift’s first six albums in 2019, along with the master recording of her back catalogue. He resold Swift’s recording in 2020 to equity firm Shamrock Capital. The comeback is greater than the setback!
Completely aware of the fact that they might make a fortune from the sale of her records, Swift aimed to devalue their investments and get more of her creative control back on her life’s work. The US singer then pledged to re-record the first of her six albums and entered, Fearless (Taylor’s version) in 2021. The release of Fearless resulted in three of Swift’s album topping UK charts. Followed by the success of her last two albums, Evermore and Folklore, Fearless (Taylor’s version) was just the icing on the cake swift needed for her revenge. The 11-time Grammy award winner scored her hat trick, making Fearless (Taylor’s version), Evermore and Folklore top the charts in just 259 days (less than 9 months)!

Earlier, this record was held by the fab four with their albums Help!, Rubber Soul and Revolver for 54 years. The Beatles held the position by going number one within 364 days between 1965-1968. Many have tried to break this record but, none succeeded until Taylor Swift! As per The Guardian, this is Swift’s seventh studio album to hit no. 1 on the charts and have sold over 21,145 units (including both physical and digital sales).
Swift’s version of Fearless is just the start of her upcoming re-recordings, she tweeted earlier in 2020 and said:
