A star on the small screen, the actress is known for her roles in Beverly Hills, Little House on the Prairie and Charmed, a career that would leave many people in awe. But her personal life has not been so positive. Her biggest regret? Not having any children. She was unable to fulfill this dream because of her breast cancer, which has been slowly eating away at her for five years now.

Her cancer came back
In August 2015, Doherty revealed that she had been diagnosed quite late, before her cancer then spread a few months later. After making her illness public with the hopes of relaxing other patients, she announced in February 2017 that she had finished herchemotherapy. Unfortunately, it was with immense sadness that she announced three years later that the cancer she thought she had beaten was back and this time, the situation was even worse since she was already in stage IV. Of course, her fans were very concerned and flooded her with messages of support and encouragement. However, this did not make the 49-year-old actress happy.

In an interview with her friend Sarah Michelle Gellar on Entertainment Tonight, Shannen Doherty said she was extremely grateful to the people who were supporting her in her fight. But while it may surprise some people to hear, the actress believes that she doesn't deserve all the attention she has been receiving.

From this interview, Shannen Doherty also hopes to change the image that public opinion has of people with stage IV cancer. She is far from a vegetative state as some people assume and assures us that she is doing very well at the moment. We imagine this positive state of mind can only give her more strength in her fight with this disease.
