After the death of Sarah Harding, her father has paid a tribute to the singer and spoken about her daughter for the first time.

For the first time since his daughter's death, Sarah Harding's distraught father has spoken out. After being diagnosed with cancer, the Girls Aloud singer tragically died in September at the age of 39. Last August, Sarah revealed to her fans that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Unfortunately for her, cancer had spread to other parts of her body, and it was too late for her. Sarah's death was reported on Instagram by her mother Marie, who praised her beautiful daughter as a bright, shining star.

Tribute to the loving daughter

Sarah's father, John Hardman is also a musician and performer. The two had been estranged for two decades, but the father has now spoken about it after her death. According to The Sun, he used Instagram to commemorate his daughter during the holidays. John posted a photo of the singer and wrote,

In memory of my beautiful daughter Sarah Harding (Hardman) this Christmas. I cherish the moments we had together before and during her illness.

We all miss her greatly, and we thank her fans for their love and kindness, wishing them and their families a very happy Christmas. One can only try to stay safe in such difficult times.

In response to the numerous encouraging notes, John replied

Grateful for the love

Sarah's mother Marie broke the news of her death in a heartbreaking Instagram post. Marie told Sarah's fans and followers that she had slipped away quietly on the morning of September 5, 2021. She also shared a gorgeous black and white portrait of her daughter. Thanking friends and fans for their support since Sarah initially revealed her diagnosis in August 2020. Marie said,

It meant the world to Sarah to know she was loved.

Sarah released her autobiography Hear Me Out in March, where she spoke freely about her desire to encourage others to seek early diagnosis. She also released a tune called Wear It Like A Crown in support of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. Sarah rose to fame in 2002 after being part of a girl band and also won the celebrity show Big Brother.
