Former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has officially stepped down as PrettyLittleThing’s creative director to focus on being a mum to Bambi. Here’s what she has to say!

Molly-Mae is one the richest stars to ever come out of Love Island and much of it was due to her position as PrettyLittleThing’sCreative Director. Reportedly, the 23-year-old was making £400,000 per month - which means close to £5 million a year.

Molly-mae steps down as PLT’s creative director

However, the blonde beauty is still a Brand Ambassador for them. According to The Sun, Molly-Mae revealed in a YouTube video that she has to ‘rearrange’ her life a bit to spend time with Bambi.

Many fans have asked Molly in the past about her role with the popular fashion brand and addressing that she said:

Everything is going incredibly with PLT. I will forever have the most insane relationship with PLT - they are literally my family.

I am still working with them and doing collections and edits, but I have actually decided to step down as my creative director role.

Realising the intensity of the news, she added:

I know this is quite a big thing to just mention.
Myself and PLT have decided collectively that as much as the creative director role was incredible and I have literally loved being the creative director of PLT more than anything - it was such an amazing chapter for me - it has naturally come to an end.

Molly insisted that the departure from the role has no drama or tea attached to it. She said:

There is no drama, there is absolutely no tea, there is nothing that has gone on.

Why has Molly-Mae quit PLT?

At the start of the year, Molly returned to work just a few weeks after giving birth to Bambi. She revealed at the time that being self-employed means you lose money for any leaves that you take and I’ve got bills to pay.

In a recent YouTube video, she revealed:

I am a mum now. I never really gave myself a maternity leave and I got straight back into work instantly because my work is my phone and showing my life is my work.

There were just certain areas of my life where I had to re-evaluate. The last thing I would want to be is in a role that I can't fulfil right now at this moment in my life.

She added:

Over the last few weeks, I have realised that I'm only going to get this time once with my first-born child.

I'm only going to get Bambi being four months old once and I feel like I've had to rearrange my life a little bit and lose some commitments that I did have.

Many fans rushed to the comment section of the video and supported her decision to step back. One commented :
