Love Island's Molly-Mae opens up about ‘sad’ changes she’s made since robbery

Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about the lasting impact of having her home broken into has had on her. In October, the Manchester flat she shared with boyfriend Tommy Fury was robbed, with burglars making off with a reported £800,000 worth of possessions. Both Molly-Mae and Tommy were in London at an event at the time of the break-in.

Molly-Mae changes habits after burglary
The couple have since moved out of the apartment, but the experience has continued to affect Molly-Mae’s lifestyle. During an appearance on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast, Molly-Mae opened up about some of the changes she’s made in her life since the robbery. She said:

Because I can't have anybody knowing where I live now - even Deliveroo, no, can't, it's just not possible, it's just not safe. It takes one wrong person to know where you live... It's sad that at 22 years old you have to think that way.
She went on to say that she rarely wears jewellery since the break-in and is now ‘spending a fortune’ on 24/7 security. She has also avoided giving fans a house tour of her ‘incredible’ new home out of fear it may give away the location.

Molly-Mae has also taken a bit of a step back from social media, recently deleting the Twitter app, which she describes as ‘toxic and horrendous’. She has made a return to Instagram Stories though, after taking a brief break.
