Nothing worth having comes easy and the 28-year-old must be feeling it for real. After hosting a wild New Year’s Eve party to ring in 2023, Maya Jama has fallen ill and caught a bug.The Sun reported that the new presenter is currently holed up at home with a bug.

The star, however, is recovering well and seemed in good spirits, which is good news for Love Island fans as they await the new Winter series. This comes in the aftermath of a New Year party she hosted at London's Koko nightclub in Camden.

The second edition of the Winter series is expected to air on January 16. This would be Maya’s first time hosting ITV2’s dating reality show after she took over from former host Laura Whitmore. She has already appeared in teasers as she’s seen riding a bull by grabbing its horns. The tagline read:
