Love Island: Laura Whitmore reveals the biggest twist in the history of the show

When Love Island proclaimed they are the OGs of love, they meant every word of it. In the first look of the upcoming season, the girls on the show were given their first twist of the show. The twist is the biggest ever in the game of love.

ITV2 bosses have decided to shake things up a little this season and so, instead of the girls picking up the guys they want – the public will do it for them. Yes, the girls were as blindsided as we are. When host Laura Whitmore revealed the first twist of the series, it took them by shock and surprise. Laura told the girls in the villa:

However, for the first time, we asked the public to play Cupid instead and pick the boy they thought each of you should couple up with.
After informing the girls they do not have any say in the matter, the contestants were paired up with each other. And while one would think that’ll be the end of twists, the OGs of love came up with more. Laura also introduced the Italian Stallion – Davide Sanclimenti as the first bombshell of the season early in the series.

The twist comes after Voiceover man Iain Stirling revealed earlier last week that the British Public will play cupid this time. He told Christine Lampard the news on Lorraine’s show on June 3. He appeared live from the villa in Majorca and told the host:

The public had a chance to vote for their favourite two people together through the Love Island app. The poll was live for approximately 24 hours and love island fans picked their favourites to pair up together.
