Love Island boss reveals the villa is not yet ready with just days left before contestants arrive

The show bosses are currently working overtime to finish the villa in time before the sexy singletons arrive over the weekend. Everyone is said to be ‘working to the wire’ to finish building the luxury villa in time.

Almost there!
The villa is almost complete but work is still being done on furniture, walls, and flooring. Simultaneously, construction on the show's romantic retreat, The Hideaway, has only just begun. Love Island acquired the villa in January but the work didn’t start until March. It’s been eight to nine weeks now and the work is still not complete. The Sun reported that local builders and channel crew are working overtime to finish the masterpiece in time. Executive producer Mike Spencer said:

This comes after the crew had to work around existing trees and the garden's own built-in rockery due to site constraints imposed by the Majorcan authorities.
New love villa
Finding a new villa that had the potential to be upscale from the previous one took months too. Mike revealed that this villa felt like the Love Island villa after months of searching. Being a show ‘staple’, an amazing infinity pool was amongst the top requirements of the show bosses. Mike added:
