Kim and Kanye’s Marriage is over as Kim hires top divorce lawyer

According to recent US media reports, Kim Kardashian-West and husband Kanye will soon be getting divorced following their now seven year marriage.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is said to be ‘done’ with the musician as Kanye has settled down in their Wyoming ranch and has no plans to rejoin the family.

Multiple sources have revealed to Page Six that ‘divorce is imminent’ as Kim has now hired attorney Laura Wasser, a celebrity divorce lawyer. A source told the outlet that the couple have been keeping their split low-key but their marriage is in fact over:

They are keeping it low-key but they are done. Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.

Over the holidays Kim was spotted without her wedding ring as Kanye refused to join the family for their lavish LA celebrations. The source continued:

Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done.

Over the course of their marriage Kim has grown up a lot and although she has been supportive of Kanye in the media, the source detailed that the reality tv star is getting serious about both taking the bar exam and her prison reform project, leaving little room to deal with Kanye’s ‘presidency campaigns’ and other wild antics.

However, a separate source has defended the rapper, claiming that Kanye just wants to separate himself from the Kardashians’ over the top lifestyle. The source elaborated that Kanye ‘is completely over the entire family … He wants nothing to do with them.’

Earlier last year Kanye even went on a Twitter tirade, basting ‘momager’ Kris Kardashian by comparing her to Kim Jong-Un, while also stating he has been trying to divorce Kim since she met with Meek Mill in a hotel over their prison reform initiative.

One source also speculated that Laura Wasser - who has previously represented Kim in her divorce to Kris Humphries as well as Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Britney Spears - was hired in order to settle the matter of the couple’s Calabassas home which is where their children have been growing up:

Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home. She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They’ve both put a lot of money into renovating it.
