Former glamour modelKatie Price is reported to have been taken to hospital after an alleged ‘drink-drug’ car accident near her home in Sussex on Tuesday.

Price, who was arrested for alleged drink-driving and may potentially face jail time, had acknowledged on Good Morning Britain just one day before the accident that she was currently under a two-year driving ban that was set to lift later this year.

A woman, 43, was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs, and has been taken to hospital to be checked over. The road was blocked temporarily while recovery of the vehicle was arranged.More under this adMore under this ad
A witness explained to The Sun: 'Katie rolled her car and was in a bad way when police arrived. She's in hospital now and everyone is desperately worried about her and why she was driving.'

Responding to the incident, Katie Price’s family posted to the 43-year-old’s Instagram that they are ‘concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and overall mental health.’

‘We would kindly ask that the media and wider public give Kate the time and space she needs to seek the necessary treatment, so that she can hopefully return to the Kate we know and love as a mother, daughter and sister.’

Katie’s fiance, Carl Woods, also posted about the recent events, explaining that he would continue to stay by her side during her period of struggle.
The 32-year-old wrote: ‘Relationships are tested. People test each other - but when you love someone like I love Katie. You enjoy the highs and good times together.’
